Dempsey killed on active service on 8 July 1981. Some on the streets of Belfast for loving Ireland died. Others in the prison gloom are torn from our side. But God the just, who never designed his image for a slave will give our country might and mind, to raise the true and the brave. God bless you my darling son. Sadly and forever missed.
