Multicultural News

Ireland's first multicultural newspaper, Metro Eireann, was launched in the Mansion House on Monday, 17 April, as a counter to ``the inadequate and often lying racist coverage of immigrant issues in the national media'', says to Abel Ugba, pictured left, with managing editor Chinedu Onyejelem.

The paper aims to be a voice for `the new face of Ireland', catering to the fast growing immigrant communities. It is a free monthly newsheet aimed at business people, diplomats, students, immigrant workers refugees and asylum seekers from over 100 different countries. Its advent is much needed and very welcome.
