‘Mo Chara’ court appearance makes Britain look panicked

Kneecap have said the British authorities are “already on the back foot” after rap singer Mo Chara was released on unconditional bail by a court in London on Wednesday, pending another court appearance on August 20.

Supporters cheered outside the court and chanted support for free speech and free Palestine amid a good-humoured celebration of resistance. But the high-profile case surrounding the Irish language singer, real name Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh, only makes one side look unreasonable, according to Andy Twelves (for the Daily Express).
