McLaughlin to address Rosses Martyrs commemoration

Sinn Féin National Chairperson Mitchel McLaughlin will be the main speaker at this weekend's commemoration in memory of the Rosses Martyrs, four IRA volunteers who died between 1921 and 1924 - Mary McBride, Owen Boyle, Neil Plunkett O'Boyle, and Con Boyle.

A large attendance is expected at the event this Saturday 31 May in Kincasslagh, which falls on the 80th anniversary of the death of Volunteer Neil Plunkett O'Boyle, the last man to be killed in the Civil War. This is the first time in over 25 years that the Rosses Martyrs are to be commemorated.

The march, which will include a colour party and at least two bands, will leave from the Kincasslagh hall at 8pm and proceed to the cemetery.
