Dwyer returned unopposed

At the recent Annual General Meeting of the Leinster Sinn Féin Cúige, New Ross Councillor John Dwyer was elected unopposed as chair.

Dwyer said that he was delighted with the unanimous support he received from the delegates and hoped the incoming officer board, which he said was "made up of hardworking and dedicated republicans from the length and breadth of the Cúige area", would set about the task of "establishing Sinn Féin as the biggest and most dynamic political organisation in the region".

He said he was looking forward to working with the new officer board in devising and implementing a strategic plan of action that he hoped "will ensure that Sinn Féin has elected representatives on every county and town council in Leinster after the next local elections".
