Limerick on the Web

Limerick Sinn Féin has arrived on the web. Their site, www.limericksinnfein.com, compiled by the Clancy/O'Callaghan cumann, has already received hundreds of hits.

The site contains historical details about Sean Sabhat, the two ex-Limerick Mayors after whom the cumann takes its name, as well as other historical figures. There are also articles and updates about such topical issues as the Castlerea Five and the three Iirshen facing charges in Colombia.

Eamon Clancy and Barry Hicks cofounded the site. "We are constantly developing it, and adding new pages," says Eamon. "In the next few weeks we are going to be adding an events page, which will list local occasions and projects as well as national events.

"We are also going to create a discussion page, where people can write their views on current political topics.

"We are inviting people to log on, read about some of the city's history, and take part in discussions. It's a very informative site."

The site also features a useful link to our own website, accessible at republican-news.org
