Sevastopol Street victims remembered

Relatives of the three men shot dead in Sinn Féin's Belfast headquarters in 1992 by RUC man Allen Moore held a protest outside Grosvenor Road PSNI barracks on Tuesday 4 February, the 11th anniversary of the slayings. A large contingent of Sinn Féin activists from across Belfast, including former Health Minister Bairbre de Brún, joined the famiy members.

Among those who attended the picket was Eileen O'Dwyer whose husband Michael was gunned down, 15-year-old Patrick McBride, whose father Pat McBride worked at the centre, and Barbara Cowan, whose father Paddy Loughran was the doorman.

Thirteen-year-old Michael O'Dwyer also attended the picket. Michael was just two when his father brought him with him to the centre to make a complaint; he was sitting on his father's knee when Michael senior was cut down.

Allen Moore was later found dead on the shores of Lough Neagh.
