Easter events launched in Louth
West Tyrone MP Pat Doherty was in Louth last week to launch the county's Easter commemoration events. He attended the referendum count centre in Dundalk accompanied by general election candidate Arthur Morgan. The two men also visited Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda and Louth County Hospital in Dundalk during the visit. In Drogheda, Morgan and Doherty met with Declan Collins, general manager of the Louth/Meath Group of Hospitals, and they discussed the implications of the closure of services in Monaghan and Dundalk.
Pat Doherty is pictured with Arthur Morgan and North Louth Sinn Féin members Anthony Donnelly, Anthony Flynn and Gene Martin at the Easter commemorations launch. Maeve Healy and other Sinn Féin members in the party's new Drogheda office during his visit to Louth. Also pictured is the damage done to the party's Dundalk office by vandals on Friday 8 March but the party started repair work immediately and expect to be back up and running by this weekend.
Arthur Morgan's general election campaign will be officially launched at 8pm on Thursday 21 March in the Fairways Hotel, Dundalk. Sinn Féin national chair Mitchel McLaughlin will be the main speaker and Cavan/Monaghan TD Caoimhghín Óoacute; Caoláin wil also attend. Everyone is welcome.
