Loyalists sighted in Twinbrook

Sinn Féin councillor for Twinbrook, Paul Butler, has called on republicans and nationalists to be vigilant after a well known loyalist was seen driving around the West Belfast estate accompanied by two younger men.

"They have been seen watching local republican homes," Butler said. The loyalist was originally from the Shankill Road but has since moved to County Derry.

"The UDA have never been on ceasefire and as we all know have been involved in sectarian murders, we are advising local people to be very vigilant," said Butler.

Meanwhile in West Belfast, Sinn Féin's Gerard O'Neill has accused the UDA of being behind attacks on the homes of residents in Horn Drive in Lower Lenadoon.
