BEECHMOUNT/IVEAGH ex-POW group and Beechmount Sinn Féin would like to thank everyone who took part in commemorating the first Hunger Strike of 1980 and those who helped to put up the murals and attended the white line picket. We would also like to thank those who supported the token hunger strike which was undertaken by four local men who carried out a similar protest 20 years ago in support of the hunger strikers. Go raibh maith agat. Also the Beechmount Iveagh ex-POW group donated a food hamper to the elderly in the Ard na Cluain House
