Search resumption welcomed
Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams welcomed news on Wednesday, 29 March, that the Independent Commission for the Location of Victims' Remains is to recommence the search for the remains of a number of people killed by the IRA in the 1970s.
Adams, who has continued to work to resolve this issue, expressed his support for the families and said: ``I welcome this development. This matter is a human rights issue, a justice issue and every effort must be pursued to end the pain of the families.
``I know this will be a very difficult and trying time for the families involved. I hope that the new searches quickly return the remains which are still missing to their families.''
