Kerry roads anger

Councillors Martin Ferris, Cathal Foley and Anthony Curtin and a group of angry campaigners from Kerry came to Leinster House on Tuesday, 7 March, to protest at ``the appalling and dangerous conditions of the roads in County Kerry, the result of decades of mismanagement, underfunding and downright neglect, especially by ministers of this government, and previous governments who come from the Kingdom.

``The state of the roads suggests the contempt with which taxpayers from Kerry are treated by government,'' said Ferris.

The protestors were welcomed to Leinster House by Sinn Féin TD Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin and were joined by a number of secondary school children from Kildare.
