Sean Sabhat Commemoration

Over 300 people attended the Sean Sabhat Commemoration in Limerick City on Sunday, 7 January. It was one of the largest turnouts in recent years. The commemoration was chaired by Maurice Quinlivan, Secretary of Limerick Sinn Féin, and Eamonn Nolan, national organiser of Sinn Féin, gave the oration.

Nolan said that the republican struggle was about bringing fundamental change in Irish society, not about painting post boxes green. ``Republicans do not see the Good Friday Agreement as a settlement so much as a framework in which that struggle can be advanced,'' he said.
