DEERY, Manus (27th Ann). Precious memories our dear brother Manus, who was murdered by British troops on 14 May 1972. RIP. Just an average family, we didn't ask for more. Then life was changed completely, with a knock on the door. This awfulthing had happened and none of us knew why. You were never coming home and we never said goodbye. Our world just fell to pieces, we cried in disbelief. We had to stick together, to overcome our grief. We'll never understand it, it all seems so unfair. We wish we'd hear that knock again and see you standing there. Sadly missed by his brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, nieces and nephews, Derry.
