One law for the DUP...

Sinn Fein's Brian McCaffrey has accused the RUC of double standards in their handling of a recent DUP protest at Fivemiletown.

The DUP protest occurred when David Trimble visited the town two weeks ago. During the protest a female RUC officer was pushed in front of a car, a male officer was kicked in the head and another received a broken finger as about 100 DUP protestors attacked UUP members.

During the incident the DUP's Bert Johnston was captured on TV kicking the UUP's Derrick Nixon.

Brian McCaffrey, commenting on the fracas, said ``If it had been a republican protest there would have been a different outcome. It is not surprising there were no arrests. It's just unionists falling out among themselves. It is a unionist police force and maybe they were somewhat confused by the situation and did not know how to react''.
