British spy devices found
A huge quantity of British army surveillance equipment was
discovered by a farmer on Monday 8 June on his farmland near
Crossmaglen.
Cameras, microphones, infra red sensors, satellite receivers and
a large power pack was discovered in the Cornonagh area. Among
the equipment was a sophisticated camera camouflaged in moss and
grass. It appeared to be pointing in the direction of houses and
a road junction.
The British Army saturated the same area a number of weeks ago
after alleging a shot had been fired. It is now obvious that this
was a ploy to allow the installation of surveillance equipment.
Conor Murphy, Sinn Fein Assembly candidate for the area, said,
''this is a further indication of the attitude of the British army
and securocrats to the peace process.''
