DEMPSEY, John (17th Ann). 1st Batt C Coy, Na Fianna Éireann, Belfast Brigade. Killed on active service on 8 July 1981 aged 16 years. John my son, seventeen long years have passed, the pain is the same, I loved you right from birth, but at 16 years of age God took you from this earth, may your shroud be your uniform and your dream of a united Ireland be your pillow. Sadly missed, from your daddy, sisters Angela, Diana, Martina and brother Stephen. Good night son.

DEMPSEY, John (17th Ann). In proud and loving memory of Fian John Dempsey, died on 8 July 1981. July comes with sad regret, brings back a memory we will never forget. Our Lady of Lourdes pray for him. Always remembered by the McDonnell family at home and abroad.
