HUGHES, Volunteer Samuel (died 7 April 1972); MARKS, Volunteer Colum (died 10 April 1991), MARTIN, Volunteer Eugene (died 7 April 1996); McCRYSTAL, Volunteer Charles (died 7 April 1972); McERLEAN, Volunteer John (died 7 April 1972); O'RAWE, Volunteer Eddie (died 12 August 1973). ``I've always believed we had a legitimate right to take up arms and defend our country and ourselves against British occupation.'' - IRA Volunteer Mairéad Farrell. Remembered with love and pride by their many friends and comrades in the Republican Movement.

COOMBES, John (4th Ann). Died on 2 April 1994, lifelong republicans dearly missed by family, friends and SIC republicans. From republicans in the South Inner City.

MARKS, Colum (7th Ann). In loving memory of our son Volunteer Colum Marks, killed on active service on 11 April 1991. They died as soldiers of Erin should die, with their faces to the foe and and their heads to the sky. They fell as soldiers of freedom should fall, for their dear beloved country against oppression and thrall. They sleep their last sleep in their cold silent graves.
