October 23rd, I heard 9 shots being fired I ran to see where they
came from and I heard my father's cry. My father's friend called
and said: ``I have bad news to tell. The British army shot your
wife''. I choked as I tried to yell, Jesus, Lord Our Savour, help
us through this day. My mother said she would stay with us and
every night we pray. But now she's gone so far away. A million
miles or more. I wish she could come back to us. And be happy as
before. Her sister Dorothy was in the car. And she was murdered
too. The Brits had taken two innocent lives as they o often do.
So if you are from Belfast and think that you are free remember
the next bullet could be for you or me. From your son Eddie and
wife Caroline.
