O'NEILL. Birthday remembrance of Volunteer Dermot (Ginger)
O'Neill. We never ask for miracles Loro. But today just one would
do. To have our front door open and see Ginger walk through.
Remembering him is easy, we do it everyday, missing him is the
heartache that never goes away. From a heart broken family.

Buíochas
ON BEHALF of all the Butler family I would like to thank the many
people who travelled from the North and South of Ireland for
Dad's funeral. Also Rosie and Eddie, who travelled from
Birmingham and have been our friends for 22 years, they were with
us in the `70s when times were rough going back and forth to the
prisons, to Sinn Féin Vice President Pat Doherty, who spoke at
the graveside and moved many people to tears when he told of the
plight and intimidation of the families over the years. For my
father they were silent years of suffering for his son and his
only wish before he died was to see his son Eddie back in
Portlaoise. We would like to thank all who sent flowers, Mass
cards, to the people who phoned from New York; also the prisoners
that phoned from all over and the ex-POWs who attended the
funeral you all have made what is a very difficult time for my
mother easier to bear knowing the people that mean so much to us
are there for her. From Kathleen Butlet and family.
