RUC harass massgoers
Massgoers in the Kiltyclogher, Mountfield and Loughmacrory areas of County Tyrone have accused the RUC of sectarianism after parishioners were stopped and questioned by RUC squads while entering and leaving mass.
Local Sinn Féin councillor Barney McAleer described the incidents, which occurred on Sunday 5 January, as ``a serious violation of peoples' civil and religious liberties which must be stopped immediately.''
``Many local people have contacted me and they see the RUC behaviour as anti-Catholic and sectarian. They have compared it to what has been going on in Harryville over the last few months''.
