TD hospitalised

Deputy Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin was hospitalised last week and is at present recovering from a neck injury. In a message to his constituents he said:

``Following hospital tests last week I was diagnosed as having a slipped disc in my neck. This necessitated hospitalisation for a number of days last week and a period of recuperation which I am now undergoing. As a result, I have had to cancel my engagements for the next two weeks. I regret the inconvenience for constituents, but my absence from constituency, Dáil and other public commitments is unavoidable at present.

``Sinn Féin's Cavan/Monaghan constituency service continues to operate from our offices at Dublin Street, Monaghan and Leinster House.

``I take this opportunity to thank the well-wishers who have contacted me and look forward to resuming my full-time work as soon as possible.''
